Siloxane removal is a major issue for power generation from landfill gas or digester gas from wastewater treatment plants. Common processes include siloxane absorption in activated charcoal or silica gel media, but regeneration costs for the siloxane-saturated media is quite expensive, leading to high operating costs. Nrgtek Inc presents a new technology, with less than one-tenth the operating costs for siloxane removal, as compared to physical absoprtion in granulated media.
