Ports Searching for Clean Air Technologies

As part of the Clean Air Action Plan, the Port of Los Angeles and the Port of Long Beach are looking for ways to improve air quality by reducing ship-related pollution. In particular, the Ports are seeking information about technologies that could substantially reduce air pollution generated by main engines on ships going to and from the ports.

The Ports issued a Request for Information (RFI) about technologies that reduce emissions on a ship’s main engine, auxiliary engine and boiler exhaust. Companies with technologies that effectively reduce ship engines’ exhaust are asked to submit information packages by July 19, 2013.

For more information please visit the Clean Air Action Plan website or click here to download the RFI.
