The ships, trucks, trains and cargo handling equipment that operate in San Pedro Bay produce about 40% of the diesel particulate matter in the Los Angeles basin, so we are especially interested in technologies that reduce local levels of Diesel Particulate Matter (DPM) oxides of Nitrogen (NOx) and oxides of Sulfur (Sox). Our clients devote a lot of their time and energy to developing products that will help us achieve better air quality. We are currently working with companies that: make diesel engines less likely to pollute because their oil is cleaner; cover the exhaust stacks of ships in port with a device for filtering out the DPM; or rebuild older engines so they meet the latest standards. When you’re talking about testing technologies in a tough environment, PortTechLA is a good choice! PortTech Clients: EnvironmentHazSim, LLCMarine Oil Technology |
